Content Policy
The policy applies to all content, whether branded or otherwise posted by users on the Kofuku Platform. Branded content refers to any post, video, blog, reel, or story that features or is influenced by a brand, product, or business partner in exchange for value (payment, gifts, or services).This applies to all creators, influencers, experts, and brand collaborators on in-app content (Sunrise Club, Campfire, Feed). Please note that failure to comply with these rules may result in the removal of the content.
General Compliance
A. Use the “Paid Partnership” or “Collaborated With” label on all branded posts.
B. Disclose any form of compensation, including free samples or gifted items.
C. Never promote a brand, product, or service without written consent from both Kofuku and the partner brand.
D. Always ensure branded content complies with local regulations (including but not limited to ASCI, IT Rules 2021, and Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023).
Disclosure Rules
A. If a monetary exchange or gift is involved → use “Paid Partnership” label.
B. If you earn via affiliate links → mention “Affiliate Partnership” clearly.
C. If the content promotes Kofuku’s own products or services, disclosure is not required, but content must still be truthful and compliant.
D. Avoid hidden marketing (e.g., subtly placing a product without clear intent disclosure).
Partner Tagging and Permissions
A. Always tag business partners using Kofuku’s branded content tool or approved workflow.
B. Get prior written approval before using a partner’s name, logo, or likeness.
C. For co-created content, co-ownership and rights must be pre-approved by Kofuku’s marketing and legal teams.
D. Maintain transparency and traceability — archive all partnership briefs and payment records.
Prohibited Branded Content
Users are NOT permitted to use the Kofuku Platform to post or endorse content that involves:
A. Illegal products or services.
B. Drugs, tobacco smoking, vapourisers, or recreational substances, unless, they are cleared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, FDA, or any other reputed and well-acclaimed health governing body.
C. Unsafe supplements (steroids, ephedra, HGH, etc.).
D. Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or self-defence items.
E. Adult products or sexual enhancement services. (Kofuku will follow the applicable provisions of Indian Law in respect of such content)
F. Payday loans, bail bonds, or unregulated financial schemes.
G. Multi-level marketing or pyramid programs.
H. Cryptocurrency investments or high-risk financial trading.
I. Political or social issues used for exploitative marketing.
J. Content which relies upon crisis creation or fear-mongering for commercial gain
K. Liking mental health-related content with commercial gain
L. Any information, any use of content, image, or testimonial that directly or indirectly compromises a Kofuku user's anonymity, including the use of real names, real photos, or personal information without consent, will not be accepted on Kofuku.
Restricted Content (Requires Age or Region Controls)
Branded posts in these categories must include audience restrictions:

Creative & Ethical Standards
A. Use accurate, respectful language — avoid medical exaggeration or fear-based messaging.
B. Never feature doctors, psychologists, or nutritionists implying endorsements unless verified by Kofuku.
C. Avoid before-and-after comparisons, weight-shaming, or sensitive physical imagery.
D. Always include relevant disclaimers like “for educational purposes only.”
E. Do not show minors or patients in promotional content without consent.
Format-Specific Guidance
A. Video/Reels
- Must display the paid partnership label visually within the first three seconds.
- Audio mentions of the brand should be factual and not exaggerated.
B. Blog / Article

Add a disclosure note at the top or bottom: “This article contains brand collaboration content in partnership with [ XYZ].”

Include links only to verified and safe domains.
C. Social Media Posts

Caption should include hashtags like #Ad, #PartneredWithKofuku, or #PaidPartnership.

Never combine branded and user-sensitive content (e.g., a mental health confession paired with a supplement ad).
Approval Process
The following process will be followed for approval and posting of all branded content.

Brand Collaboration Brief → Approved by Marketing Lead.

Creative Script / Caption Draft → Reviewed for legal + ethical compliance. Please note that all creators/brands must provide all necessary scientific backing and regulatory clearances for approval and vetting.
All brands/creators bear full responsibility for providing accurate and sufficient scientific backing and for ensuring that their brand/content meets the applicable legal requirements.

Final Asset Review → Cleared by Legal/Compliance Team.

Publishing → Posted only via verified Kofuku channels.

Archival → Store all communication and approvals for 12 months at least for future use and referencing.
Accountability & Enforcement
Violations may result in:
A. Immediate content takedown.
B. Suspension of creator collaboration rights.
C. Legal or contractual action if brand trust or privacy is compromised.
Best Practices
A. Disclose every collaboration transparently.
B. Maintain educational or awareness-driven storytelling.
C. Prioritise audience safety, body positivity, and cultural sensitivity.
D. Ensure medical claims are scientifically backed and reviewed.
E. Don’t post crisis-related topics for commercial gain.
F. Don’t mix advocacy or mental-health content with sponsored promotion.
G. Don’t accept paid partnerships from unverified or unsafe brands.
