Editorial Policy

Kofuku hosts two kinds of content: community discussion — the questions, answers, polls and quizzes our members post in topic communities and campfires — and editorial articles published on our Sunrise Club blog. This page explains how each is handled.

Community content and moderation

Community posts are written by members and reflect their personal experiences and opinions. Every new post, and every edit to an existing post, passes through our automated content moderation system (CPIA) before it is published. Content that clearly violates our community guidelines — such as harassment, hate speech, spam or dangerous misinformation — is blocked from publishing. Borderline content is escalated to our admin team for human review before a final decision is made.

Within campfires (member-created groups), campfire hosts have additional moderation tools to set rules for their space and remove content that breaks them. Members who see content they believe violates our guidelines can raise it with us through Help & Support.

Moderation does not make community posts medical advice. Posts are checked against our community guidelines, not clinically verified — see our medical disclaimer.

Editorial blog content

Articles on the Sunrise Club blog are produced by Kofuku's editorial team and named contributing authors. Each article is reviewed by an editor before publication for accuracy, clarity and sourcing, carries a byline and a publication date, and is organised into the same health topic categories as our communities. Editorial content is written and selected independently; advertising on Kofuku is always labelled as sponsored and never influences editorial coverage.

Corrections

When we learn that an editorial article contains an error, we correct it and update the article's revision date. For significant corrections that change the substance of an article, we note the change in the article itself. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us via our contact page — include a link to the article and the correction you are proposing.
